Allison R. Schwarz is a dedicated attorney and certified Domestic Relations Mediator with more than 25 years of legal experience serving families and individuals across southeastern Indiana. As a founding member of Votaw & Schwarz law office, Ms. Schwarz focuses her legal practice on domestic relations matters, including divorce and child support. She also provides counsel in probate matters and estate planning, helping clients navigate significant life transitions with clarity and care.
In addition to her legal representation, Ms. Schwarz serves as a Domestic Relations Mediator, working with families to resolve conflicts outside of the courtroom in a structured, neutral, and respectful setting. Her mediation practice emphasizes practical problem-solving and long-term stability for families, helping parties reach mutually agreeable outcomes while avoiding the cost and emotional toll of litigation. Her extensive experience in family law enhances her ability to facilitate productive dialogue and durable agreements between separating or divorcing parties. Ms. Schwarz also serves as the business manager for the firm, managing operations and supporting the firm's mission of providing personalized, accessible legal services. As a lifelong resident of Dearborn County, Indiana, Ms. Schwarz is deeply connected to the community she serves. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Thomas More College in December 1993 and her Juris Doctor from Chase College of Law in May 1999. She previously served as a Guardian Ad Litem for Dearborn, Ohio, and Ripley Counties, advocating for the best interests of children in family court matters.
Ms. Schwarz is a member of the Dearborn County Bar Association and continues to be actively involved in the local legal and civic community.
