Peter C. Johns
Peter C. Johns is a dedicated attorney and lifelong resident of Dearborn County. He is proud to serve the community where he was born and raised. After graduating from Lawrenceburg High School, he attended Indiana University Bloomington, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 2010. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law and was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 2014.
Since joining Votaw & Schwarz in 2014, Peter has focused his practice on criminal defense, probate, estate planning, and municipal law. He served as defense counsel for the Dearborn County Problem Solving Courts for nine years, gaining extensive experience in alternative court systems and advocating for rehabilitative outcomes.
In addition to his private practice, Peter currently assists in representing the City of Rising Sun, Indiana, providing legal counsel on a wide range of municipal matters.
